We’re soooo excited about the footing in the arena…it’s called Perma-Flex.  I never thought I would use a rubber product but after months and months of research, it seemed the logical thing and I became convinced that it wouldn’t be a problem with the ecology after all (it’s being used for many applications including playgrounds).  This is the first time I’ve ever been able to ride my Thoroughbred without shoes on her front feet.  She seems much more confident because of the consistency of the footing.  It’s great on the horse’s tendons, and I can verify that it is very soft to land in (even on your head---yes with a helmet)!
